I know how difficult change can be and hope to make a difference by helping you:
I have been through a divorce, so I can relate to many of the things you are feeling. My message is this: Life goes on after divorce – and, as hard as this may be right now, positive things will also unfold. Divorce can be the beginning of a new chapter. It is important to remember that you will get through this, and that you are not alone.
After three years of college, I was accepted to law school on an “Accelerated Entry Program”. I knew very early in life that I wanted to be a lawyer and help people. I began my career handling general civil cases involving business and money disputes. I wanted to do more than focus on money disputes. My goal was to bring creative and analytical skills to help families in conflict. After watching my mentor work with her clients on a more personal level doing family law, I realized that I could make a meaningful difference in the lives of couples and families going through the emotionally wrenching process of divorce. I have never looked back
In 1999, I was certified by the State Bar of California as a Specialist in Family Law, and in 2003, I founded Zonder Family Law. I have been handling family law cases for over twenty years.
My approach to family law cases:
I am committed to helping my clients settle their cases expeditiously, without wasting time and money. My two main goals are to (a) provide my clients with an array of options and creative approaches to resolving their divorce, and (b) to ensure they have the information and support needed to make educated decisions throughout the process.
Open communication and mutual respect are the guiding touchstones of my work – I listen carefully in order to craft solutions to meet each client’s needs. I know I have done my job well when clients let me know that I fully understood their concerns and helped them moved on with their lives. As an example, one client thanked me for “being present” for him during our full team Collaborative Divorce meeting. A female client of mine indicated that after a settlement conference, she was so touched by the mediation process that she was going to find out how to implement mediation tools into her own workplace since she felt inspired. This kind of feedback brings driving purpose to my work every day.
Zonder Family Law Group is proud to present two community offerings beginning in 2018. Giving back to the community is a cornerstone of my personal life and practice. I am particularly proud to be a volunteer attorney lecturer/educator at the nationally acclaimed “Second Saturday Divorce Workshops” created by the Women’s Institute for Financial Education (WIFE.org), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial education for women.
Because I have seen Second Saturday benefit thousands of individuals and their families, I am especially excited to have founded my own LA Chapter of “Second Saturday.” We hold monthly workshops in Westlake Village. You can learn about the program here.
This workshop will help couples work together and apart in ending their marriages in a much less expensive and traumatic way. Inspired by the original, LA “Second Saturday Divorce, Mediation and Collaborative Workshop” features education and information on the legal, financial and emotional aspects of the process, with a focus on Collaborative Divorce.
Our second community offering is called “Feed Your Soul Friday– Divorce Support”. The group is led by a panel including prominent therapists, money experts, spiritual and legal visionaries. We meet on the first Friday of each month.
